On Friday May 28, 2021, following the LOVA Webinar Harassment in the Field, the ninth LOVA  Marjan Rens Master’s Thesis Award will be granted by Professor emeritus Fenneke Reysoo  (Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva) in an online award  ceremony. 

The LOVA Marjan Rens Master’s Thesis Award recognizes the best Master’s thesis in the field  of women- and gender studies in anthropology in the Netherlands. The award consists of 500  euro. The three nominated award winners will be invited to publish an article based on their thesis in LOVA Journal. 

The jury of this year’s award consists of Kim Knibbe (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen), Kathrine van  den Bogert (Radboud University Nijmegen), and Fenneke Reysoo (Graduate Institute of  International and Development Studies, Geneva). Marina de Regt (Vrije Universiteit  Amsterdam) organized the selection process.  

The jury received fifteen outstanding theses of which three are nominated for the prize. We  will present the nominees soon via our website and social media. See:
