LOVA, the Netherlands Association for Gender Studies and Feminist Anthropology, offers a platform for anyone within and outside of academia with an interest in feminist anthropology and gender issues from an anthropological perspective.
Every year the association publishes a journal with research articles, essays, columns, interviews, book reviews and announcements. LOVA in particular encourages Master’s and PhD students to publish their ideas and findings in the journal. LOVA Journal also very much welcomes contributions of graduates working within a non-academic environment or employed by a university or research institution.
Submissions to LOVA Journal will be selected for publication according to (ethnographic) quality, originality and methodological and/or theoretical novelty. In order to improve the quality of our journal, every research article submitted will from now on be peer-reviewed.
Besides written contributions, we also call for visual material. We are looking for illustrations, photographs, drawings, maps, info-graphics – all of which can be experiential and experimental.
LOVA Journal invites authors who wish to publish on issues related to gender and feminist anthropology to submit an abstract of no more than 200 words to firstname.lastname@example.org before March 25. Once your abstract has been accepted, the deadline to submit your full paper is August 15, 2018. Final acceptance is subject to peer review.
