In 2021 LOVA organises the nineth round of the biennial LOVA Marjan Rens Master’s Thesis Award. Graduates who recently completed their Master’s thesis at a university in The Netherlands in the field of gender studies and feminist anthropology are cordially invited to submit their thesis. Three award-winners will be invited to write an article based on their thesis for publishing in the LOVA Journal of December 2021 and the winner on the first place will receive a donation of 500 euro. The awards will be handed out at a LOVA event in 2021.
Criteria for participation
- the thesis has been completed between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020
- the thesis was marked with an 8 or higher
- the thesis is written from a feminist anthropological perspective in which the relationship between gender and power is central
- the thesis is written in Dutch or English
- the thesis was written for a Dutch university or institute
Guidelines for submission
- send a digital copy of your thesis by email before February 15, 2021
- do not forget to mention your name, postal address, and telephone number in the accompanying message
